Terms and Conditions
A credit card on file will confirm your scheduled moving project. Please note that we do require your signature prior to beginning the moving project. Please be sure to email or fax to us prior to your move. If you do not have the ability to do so, you may provide the signed copy to the crew upon arrival for the job. By allowing the Myers Movers moving team access to the move job site, you will fulfill the signature requirement of acknowledgement and understanding of our Terms and Conditions. Due to the unusual nature of some moving projects, the estimated time could vary, for example: how close or far the truck is parked to the home or apartment, elevated homes, 2nd and 3rd floor apartments, elevators and inclement weather conditions. If you are utilizing our courtesy pick up and delivery of moving supplies, please note that payment for moving supplies is due the day the supplies are delivered to you.
1. The customer must pay in full at the completion of job, and any damage claims must be noted. If payment is not made in full, a $50 per day late payment penalty shall be assessed until full payment is received. If job duration exceeds a 24 hour period, services will be billed daily and are due and payable the day of service.
2. We are often asked to perform tasks that border on the impossible. Myers Movers will not be responsible for damage caused by non-routine moving, including but not limited to standing pieces on end, sharp turns, overcrowded work areas, difficult stairways, snags and sharp edges in work areas, doorways, handling over balconies, railings, tight squeezes, and damage caused by weather.
3. Myers Movers limits for liability for scratches and other surface blemishes, including tears and cracks shall be limited to $0.60 per pound per item, unless higher limits are agreed to in writing in advance.
4. The condition of any items boxed by customer and not inspected prior to moved are not covered by Myers Movers insurance.
5. Liability is limited to $100.00 for damage to floors, walls, doors and painted surfaces.
6. Myers Movers may use dollies to move heavy objects such as, but not limited to: pianos, appliances, items over 300 pounds, etc. Any damage to floor surfaces such as indentation, scuffmarks and scratches are not the responsibility of Myers Movers.
7. Myers Movers cannot be responsible for dents or scratches on major appliances. They are covered by a thin metal that has an extreme affinity to dent and scratch.
8. Myers Movers will not be responsible for pressed board or simulated wood furniture. Much of the budget priced furniture today is made from pressed wood. This type of material is not structurally strong or constructed to withstand moving or disassembling. Specifically, IKEA pieces seem to be made only to be assembled and not moved. Myers Movers will not be responsible for assembly of items if directions are not provided. We will do or best, but we need the "blue-prints".
9. We understand that circumstances change and would appreciate a 24 hour notice if you need to cancel your move. A two hour minimum will be due if our crew has arrived at your project location to begin the day of the move.
10. I agree to pay for the time that Myers Movers works on my site, from start to finish. I understand that an estimate is an approximate calculation of quantity; "an estimate of what it would cost", "a rough idea of how long it will take". Myers Movers expect payment for work performed, nothing more and nothing less. |
